From being born and raised on the vibrant island of Curaçao, to relocating to the USA, Skylar Dayne's story thus far is a testament to the transformative power of faith. Born with a passion for music, Skylar's musical journey began in the Caribbean at the age of 12 when she started posting YouTube videos covering mainstream pop songs. Little did she know that these early steps would set the stage for a remarkable journey through the mainstream music industry.

By the age of 14, Skylar's videos gained traction, propelling her to the forefront of the YouTube music scene. For the next five years, she rode the waves of success; performing across the US, and participating on The Voice. However, at the age of 18, the doors clearly started shutting and a deeper calling beckoned. A year later, on a word of the Lord, Skylar embarked on a new chapter, moving to Dallas, TX to attend a Bible college.

This pivotal decision marked a turning point in Skylar's life. As she immersed herself in her faith, she discovered the profound love of God, leading her to surrender deeper to Jesus and His plans for her life.

Fast forward eight years, Skylar serves in the prayer room at her local church, UPPERROOM, leads worship regularly on weekend services, and writes regularly with a core team of songwriters at UR.

The culmination of this entire journey is Skylar Dayne's debut worship album, "this is communion"; the beginning of the next chapter of her story.
